Supporting information

This 0.5 hectare site is allocated for a residential-led development, including approximately 50 homes, that will need to be designed in such a way that responds positively to the immediate historic environment. The proposed mitigation measures, including the requirement to undertake an additional heritage assessment of the proposed development, are required to ensure no unacceptable impact on the historic environment. New development will need to be sympathetic to the local 19th century building style, and buildings heights must be complimentary to the local historic townscape, respecting the setting of adjacent listed buildings and conservation areas. The inclusion of additional ancillary uses, such as an office or hotel, must demonstrate it can be accommodated without causing unacceptable impact to the historic environment, including protected trees, and residential amenity.
