Supporting information
This site has been put forward by the Cambridge Investment Partnership for housing. The site is currently in residential use but a number of the existing buildings are of poor quality and out-dated. Redevelopment of the site would enable new high quality housing to be provided in a sustainable location, given It lies close to the services and facilities around Cambridge railway station and Mill Road Local Centre as well as lying opposite Coleridge Recreation Ground. There is a large area of protected open space within the site, as well as mature trees, which both positively contribute to the character of the wider neighbourhood and must be retained. The successful redevelopment of the site should therefore be context-driven and ensure there are no adverse impacts on heritage assets and their setting, including archaeological remains.
